Thinglink about " The deep dark wood "

Last week we did a investigation on national library books, so today we did some more investigations on different books. I chose " The deep dark woods." Thinglink about " Jack an the baked beanstalk!"

Today Room 7 did an investigation on some national library books. I chose to read " Jack and the baked beanstalk." I really enjoyed this book because it was different to the normal Jack and the beanstalk.  I did a thinglink about this book. Here mine! I hope you guys like it. Today James can into room 7 and taught us how to use google maps. We all had to put the place that we were born in in the maps. I saw lots of students born in very far places, like in Malaysia, but there was tons of people born in New Zealand /Auckland. Questions

How far have some students Travelled in their lifetime to reach WPS?

For example, Khatizah Has travelled all the way from Malaysia to New Zealand, and that took over 9000 km! Most people were born in Auckland so they didn't travel far.

Why do people make the choice to move to different countries?

People moved to different countries for reasons like  jobs, money, war, different life..( etc ) and my family came from China and came to New Zealand because we wanted to have a different life. 

Is this a trend in NZ society? What does what does the media tell us? 

The media says that there are a lot of immigrants coming to Auckland, but I don't think there are much people coming to the different parts of New Zealand.

Here is a video about a "The Lie". This video made me think why people be racist, and people should NEVER be judged the way the were born. I hope people can watch this video and make a difference.

My Famous Idol / team... Maddie Ziegler!

 This week Room 7 has has made a slide about their favourite idol/team. I choose to do Maddie Ziegler because shes amazing at dance, and someday I'd like to be like her. Today James came into Room 7 and talked about what to do when you get trolled online. Everyone had to come up with scenarios where someones getting trolled. We had to come up with questions to ask people what they would do if they were getting trolled. Here's my scenario! Feel free to leave a helpful comment.

The Haunted Book

Room 7 made book trailers for the books in the school library. We did this so more people will come to the library to read all of the exciting books. Everyone made different book trailers and had SO much fun making them! Here's my one! Hope you enjoyed it and feel free to leave a comment.
